Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow St. Moritz

The St Moritz Cartier Polo World Cup on Snow is the blue ribband event in the winter polo calendar. Polo traditionally played during the summer months takes on a different perspective when played on snow. The event is battled out between four high goaled teams in a round robin format with the third & fourth place and the final being played on the Sunday. Teams with handicaps between 15 and 18 goals compete for the coveted trophy on the frozen Lake St. Moritz.

All matches are played to the highest standards demanding strength, courage, concentration and stamina from the elite competitors and horses in the world. The 2012 event takes place from Thursday 26th January to Sunday 29th January. The event is closely followed by the White Turf St. Moritz.
